I started offering an inspection service for log home buyers after I met with a homeowner in Courtenay, BC who purchased their home and a home inspector signed off on the integrity of all the log work. I was called out to the property 2 months after they moved in and discovered 76’ of rot that had to be cut out and replaced.

The vast majority of traditional home inspectors know very little to nothing about log home construction and what to look for.
